It almost feels wrong

It almost feels wrong to have a blog and not talk about news and politics. Though maybe that's just the home which I was raised where my father spent countless hours yelling at the televisions when watching the news. I swear I spent more time watching the nightly news, 60 minutes, and others than watching Sesame Street or Mr. Rogers. Though more recently I've moved from getting all my information from the main stream media. I feel more obligated to learn a foreign language just to get news and information that is at least from a different perspective. I'm not sure the majority of media has been like this overall and I was just unaware as I was young or if this is a more recent trend. If anyone has any suggestion if inernet radio/"Pocasts" or other media format of news beyond the BBC and U.S. news outlets let me know.
